Office Based Surgery

Rush Eye Associates is among the first centers in the United States to offer cataract care as an Office Based Surgery. This upgraded service allows for expedited care without long wait times, opportunity for having surgery on both eyes on the same day, and a decrease in the amount of time spent in a hospital or outpatient surgical center. It also allows for minimized stress that is associated with needles, IV access, and other anesthesia care that is encountered in the setting of an ambulatory surgery center.
