Dr. Sloan W. Rush is actively involved in research as the principal investigator in multiple clinical trials. Having been involved in over 40 research projects by age 40, he has presented dozens of journal publications at the most prestigious scientific meetings across the country. Dr. Sloan is a clinical professor locally at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center where he is able to collaborate with academic researchers and also participate in the training of medical students pursuing ophthalmology.

Dr. Sloan is the first ophthalmologist to use topical corneal stem cell therapy-derived products for treatment of dry eye disease in human clinical trials.
